This is a good, easy recipe, pretty much followed the directions, but as my crockpot seems to cook faster, checked at about 3 hours, and it was perfect. Thank you.

Super easy! Pork shreds right up and makes a delish sandwich or eat plain! You can use your favorite bbq sauce. Easy dinner, with coleslaw, and potato salad!

Pork roast in crock pot with bbq sauce

We always looked forward to Sunday dinner while we were growing up. It was a day when we could all sit down together and catch up! During the week we were off to soccer, softball, tumbling, piano lessons, tennis and church activities. Sunday we knew we could slow down and enjoy family time over a delicious dinner! Looking back now, those are the memories we treasure. Our mom would plan ahead for Sunday dinner. Then we would have more quality time together. That is why we love this slow cooker BBQ Pork Roast. It really takes only 5 minutes prep time and our amazing slow cooker does the rest. We put everything in the slow cooker and off to church we went. No more worries! After a few hours your house will fill up with the most amazing smell of BBQ Pork Roast. It turns out so moist with a delicious BBQ coating! Our kids gobbled up this pork in no time at all!

When should I add BBQ sauce to pulled pork?

Apply the sauce after the meat has been cooked. Depending on the cooking temperature and the type of sugar, a sweet sauce can get gummy or even burn. So, apply the sauce at the end, about 15-30 minutes before removing the pork to add rich flavor.

What is the best liquid to cook pulled pork in?

Best Liquid for Pulled Pork In my opinion the best liquid to use in the crock pot with the pork butt is chicken broth. Beef broth can work too. You could use water which would be ok but when you use broth it just gives the meat so much more extra flavor.

How long does it take to cook pork in a crock pot?

Cover and cook on high for 6-7 hours or low for 9-10 or until meat pulls apart easily with a fork. Remove from crockpot and shred meat. Remove any large pieces of fat. Save some of the juice to spoon over pork when serving.
