We stayed here before at this highly rated property, convenient to Pitt campus--disappointed by how far downhill it has gone. The worst part was the poor room cleaning. Crumbs on the pullout couch and odor of cooking/stale food when we walked in. Have heard that med students isolating for COVID have been staying here, which explains the sloppiness, but doesn't excuse not cleaning up after them for guests. However, good breakfast and polite staff.

The only real positive about this hotel was the location. The room was not as clean as it could have been. The bed was not as comfortable as other Residence Inn locations I've stayed at. There were issues with the tv/cable signal all three nights and the front desk staff was largely dismissive when contacted about it. The air in the room was so dry that I had to boil a pot of water to keep my nose from bleeding, and the window couldn't be opened at all because the outside noise from the heat/ac units was outrageously noisy. Noise from water use in surrounding room was exceptionally loud. The pool water was far colder than it should have been in autumn. Overall, the hotel LOOKS nice, but isn't very comfortable. For upwards of $200/night, I would have expected MUCH better quality and service.

Great for a long stay—fully equipped kitchenette, spacious, clean. Bed very comfortable. A bit of street noise. Breakfast included, gym on site. The staff were really great.
