Start of summer celebration rockford mi 2023

Start of summer celebration rockford mi 2023
Rockford Rotary will be cooking chicken again this weekend at the Rockford Harvest Fest.

We season our chicken breasts and thighs with special Herman's Boy spices (thank you for donating the spices Herman's Boy!) and cook them on Green Egg grills.  We are offering a full meal for $10. The meal includes white and dark meat chicken, green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes, a roll and coffee.  We will also have pop available for purchase.

Proceeds from the BBQ are used for various Rotary projects in the Rockford Community. Projects include: promoting literacy with Little Free Libraries and Reading Rocks, helping students in need at Rockford High School with the STRIVE program, offering two college scholarships each year to Rockford High School Interact students, supporting the Life Leadership program each June to develop young leaders (high school juniors), contributing to the stage at Garden Club Park, contributing to the renovation of the Rotary Pavilion, supporting Shop With a Hero each fall, supporting Ukrainian Refugees with Rotary Rocks for Shelter Box and more.  Thank you to all who support our fund raisers!  We really appreciate you!

WHEN: Friday and Saturday - September 23rd and 24th

TIME: 12 noon until 8 p.m. or until the chicken runs out

WHERE: Rockford, Michigan Rotary Pavilion (stop and see the Pavilion renovations which are almost complete!)

Meals can be eaten at the pavilion or taken home.  Curbside service will be available.

See you there!
