I love this water heater! This water heater was easy to install (for an experienced person). It does require sufficient gas delivery. In my case I had to run a 1-1/4” line from the meter to the unit because I had two furnaces, a stove and a clothes drier in the existing gas line ahead of where I installed the water heater. I like that it’s outside because it does make a little noise when it heats. We live on the Gulf Coast, so radical freezing isn’t a great concern. But there is built in freeze protection. The default maximum temperature setting is 135 F, but by switching one dip switch inside and going into an over ride mode, you can attain 167 F. This is nearly hot enough to blanch canned vegetables. 😉. We have ours set at 155F. I assure you it’s hot enough to scald. The beautiful thing is we don’t need to use sanitize modes on our dishwasher because the water is already very hot. Your dishes are sanitized and in a shorter washing cycle. It is the top unit in the photo outside, above the inverter. I don’t know that I needed to, but I installed an accumulator just downstream from the heater. It’s the lowest unit in the same photo. It’s a little pricey, but it’s Japanese. The quality is there and they’ve been at it for longer than American companies. The only downside I see is it must have AC power to run, but not unlike your furnace and stove. All in all I am very pleased and impressed. A word of advice: If you are not mechanically and Electrically skilled, by all means, leave it to a professional!

Why am I not getting hot water from my tankless water heater?

Either the gas supply is low, or the valves for the gas or water are closed. Both prevent the flame from igniting. If your tankless water heater is not working, check to confirm the ignition pack is functioning and that there is gas in the propane tank.

Do you have to reset a tankless water heater?

Step 5: Ensure the Tankless Water Heater is in Reset Mode After you locate and press the reset button, ensure your tankless water heater is in reset mode. Reset mode is crucial because it enables the tankless water system to restart existing processes.

Why is my tankless water heater cold?

Low Water Pressure Low water pressure is one of the most significant reasons why the tankless water heater suddenly cold during the shower. The flow within your device is lower than the activation flow rate required, resulting in the closing down of the gas burner or it may not ignite the burner at all.
