How do you check the transmission fluid on a 2002 Audi A6?

• Position yourself under the Audi and find the transmission pan, which looks like a black rectangle pan with a drain plug in the middle. Remove the drain plug with a socket wrench and allow fluid to drain into a drip pan. This is the only way you are going to be able to access and remove the transmission fluid.

Transmission is acting funny, and i need to check the tansmission fluid but i cant find the dip stick.
If it does need Transmission fluid anyone know what kind of fluid it requires?

There is no dipstick in my multitronic, I don't know about the tiptronic. The fluid is changed at set periods (refer to your owners service manual) I believe that the fluid is drained by dropping the pan and refilled through a level hole.
The type of fluid required is also in your owners service manual.
