If you're seeing an overflow, it could be due to a radiator cap, thermostat, water pump, or radiator malfunction. Below are some things to check.

Are all coolant reservoir caps the same?

Not all radiator caps are the same. There are many differences between radiator caps, like features, shapes and sizes, and picking the right one for your vehicle is very important.

Why is coolant coming out of my reservoir cap?

1. You have a coolant leak: If your coolant is leaking, it could mean your radiator cap is bad. If the cap isn't releasing excess pressure properly, that pressure can force the coolant to leak out at the point of least resistance.
